I started making sinks when I couldn’t find what I needed that would fit into a small space. I had very small bathroom and a very small vanity to go in it but no sink. Since I am a ceramic artist I simply made one. I wasn’t sure how to do that or even if it would work but now, several years and well over a thousand sinks later I think it worked out fine. Since that very first sink I still create each one as though it were going into my own home. I want something that reflects my artistic desires, a sink that is unique and will look sophisticated and graceful in any bathroom, large or small.  Basinas sinks are not only a quiet design statement but are also functional art.

   Basinas sinks are not mass-produced in a huge factory but sculpted one at a time by the artist in studio. Every sink we make is a custom, handmade ceramic sink that is created for a specific order. This insures that each customer can choose the size, shape, style, color and rim style that will make their basin unique to their own home. Our sinks also offer a durability and performance that makes them easy to clean and easy to care for.

   All basins are handmade one at a time from premium materials. Small, subtle variations in color and appearance are part of the unique look that is a handmade Basinas sink. Often a finger mark or  other depression will catch the glaze just so and show how the sink was make and the human hand that made it. If more than one sink is desired it is best to order them at the same time so that they can be made as alike as possible.
